Ok, I returned to work after maternity leave and everything that wasn’t work or baby fell over, including this blog. I’ve slowly clawed my way back into the world and am up and staggering again.
The scholarly art of Australian roleplaying conventions, good and bad games, RPGs and the like.

What makes a bad convention roleplaying game?
For me, this question is just as revealing as its opposite. When I put the survey together for what made a good game I also asked what made a game bad.
I had a sneaking suspicion that there would be a different set of elements mentioned for a bad game (not merely the opposite of those elements which make up a good game). It turned out I was sort of right and sort of wrong.

Game wrap up – postponed.
I was going to do a game wrap up post, but as I still have the review the game post open, I won’t do it now for fear of biasing the reviews. I’ll post it next week instead.

Rate the game - Eternal Companions
I'm presenting, with my go-GM, a game at the Pheno convention this weekend. Having just come up with some elements that make up a good roleplaying game, I’d like to test them (and encourage reviews of our game).
So, if you have played Eternal Companions, please feel free to rate it :)
